Brandon Lyon will be sent for a second opinion after a second MRI today ''showed some changes of the ulna collateral ligament,'' team physician Michael Lee said.
Not good, but apparently the Tommy John surgery isn't being scheduled just yet. ''Most of the ligament looks absolutely perfect and fantastic,'' he said. ''This is more of a precautionary approach that we are taking now at this point in time.'' Lyon is expected to see Dr. Lewis Yocum next. Be worried, but don't do anything crazy just yet. Hmm interesting. Anyone think Valverde may get a shot? Terrible I know.....but......?

I'm sitting with Lyon on DL and Valverde in his spot, so I'm hoping Bruney takes a couple more dumps like his last two outings. Of course, Valverde gave up a run in getting the win tonight before Bruney coughed up two more getting his 'save'.

Not sure if any of us win no matter how this shakes out.

Sounds like he really likes Lyons ligament

This is discouraging news. I would expect Valverde to come in and close because he's done so well in the past in that role, but Melvin seems to have an unnatural attraction to Bruney, who's sucked as long as I can remember. Lyon was getting it done. Valverde and Bruney can be pretty wild sometimes.

Yahoo still says Lyon is expected to be activated Saturday, but I don't like the mention of Tommy John surgery in that blurb...

I'm leading Saves in my league with 50 compared to 2nd with 39 and the addition of Lyon has been the reason. I'm deep enough to sustain my lead without him but he's been my pride and joy for the first month and a half of the season. How sad Should've traded him like everyone else did.

Sad thing is, he deserves it (at least for everyone who doesn't own Gagne). I just hope he gets a trade option soon. Funny how Gagne comes back and they can't seem to even win let alone give him a chance to show his stuff.
