Fantasy-wise he will never be Sheets. He isn't going to K that many people.
He is a fringe WW guy in a redraft but in a keeper he should be owned.
I was throwing around a couple threads about what to do with Greinke last week and I ended up coming to the following realization. His only 2 categories of value are ERA and WHIP and since he's an American league pitcher there are going to be teams you have to bench him against. A guy like that is more trouble than he's worth because you are only going to spot start him, likely not get the win and once and a while he is going to get hit up unexpectedly by a team that needs a win and gets fired up to beat up on the Royals. More trouble than he is worth and I'm lumping him in with guys like Blanton, Haren, Kazmir who are future stars and not really valuable right now. I got lucky and dropped him for Chris Capuano in a deep rostered 9 Team league
He just plays for the wrong team. You'll never get K's from the kid but you will get grand ERA and WHIP stats. Just too bad he can't get any backup from the offense. He should have 5-6 wins already. Unless you are in a deep-deep league, he's just not worth it until he is traded or actually has an offense to back his bad-ass arm up.
It's a shame really.

In 2 years. His progression has been pretty flatline for the past 3 years with littel to no improvement (but he hasn't gotten any worse either). He needs a better pitching coach and a solid elder to give him expert tudalage.

Your right, I guess Sheets was a bad example but that's all I could come up with off the top of my head. I meant he will have good enough ERA, WHIP, etc to be a viable option despite the lack of wins but he should still have a decent number of Ks.
