Do you think the Royals should trade Sweeney for Zito? do you think there is any chance of this happening? Zito is probably too expensive for the Royals but I think this would be a really smart move for both teams. Sweeney could DH where he should be

I don't see how a deal like that could happen. The Royals refuse to pay for players. Zito is not a huge upgrade. Sweeney doesn't drastically help the A's.

The only logic I see is that the Royals and A's have a good trade history.

I think Zito would veto that trade if he could...who the hell wants to go to Kansas or MIssouri or where it is

Oh i think Sweeney is exactly what the A's need... He is a terrific hitter that has no future with the Royals. If he wouldn't help their offense what would?

Whoa Whoa. Lets not hack Missouri now. I have no valid input on Sweeney or Zito other than I don not think it will happen, but lets not forget that the Cardinals are in that state also.

Sweeney would be a start to Oakland actually having an offense. Sweeney and Chavez? They would still need to make another trade or two before they would be a real threat though. ;-)
