I'm still curious to see if AA holds to what he said about moving out of the country once the school year is over. Today was the last day of school for my munchkin, so it's about time for his announcement.

Just to belatedly chime in on the original topic of this meandering thread...
It's not really that we're offended by swearing, although we do realize that some people are. But one thing to keep in mind is this: if we start saying that it's ok to say "****!!!" when you spill soda on your keyboard after Juan Pierre hits one out of the park for the guy you're playing this week, there'll be some folks who will think that it's therefore also ok to say "**** you, you ****ing ****head" when you tell them that Pierre doesn't have much of a chance of hitting 60 this year, and things will quickly devolve into mindless flaming. And I don't think anybody here wants that.
Like the 'no politics' rule, I think 'no swearin'' is simply better for the site as a whole. It's certainly served us well so far.
(And yes, we did say well ahead of time that we'd be closing down the Politics board after the election. )

In his defense, I believe that he is from the East Coast and school usually ends around mid-June here. At least it does in Jersey.
Also in his defense, he was planning to make an announcement near the end of June. He doesn't know anyone over there and would be pretty bored with nothing to do if he got there too long before school starts. My prediction? He leaves at the end of June and we don't hear from him after that.

He might go on a vacation there .. But in the end, he will stay living right here in the good ol ..
