The Nationals put right-handed starter John Patterson on the 15-day disabled list Wednesday with back spasms. The team didn't make a move to add anyone to the roster yet, but expect to do so by Friday.

Needless to say, the Nationals are getting bit by the injury bug, with Patterson marking the 11th player currently on the disabled list. While pitcher Tomo Ohka was moved to the bullpen earlier this month, he started in Patterson's place on Sunday and remains the likely candidate to move into the rotation spot left vacant by the right hander. Ohka has been hit or miss as a starter, but if you're a Patterson owner, you may be left with few other options.
add this to the growing list of pitchers i have riding the injury train.
