I'm going with the Angels, I dont see the Rangers pitching holding up. Granted, the AL West might be my least watched division so I might not have any idea what I'm talking about. But I do know that the A's blow. ;-D

But What If the Rangers land Sweeney and bring up the promising Rookie Ricardo Rodriguez to fill in for Astacio... They would take the division by about 10 games

Maybe it's just me...but I really hope the Rangers don't land Sweeney. Delucci has produced more than Sweeney would, and at a much cheaper price. Sweeney won't stay healthy, and do we really need another bat when we could spend the money on bullpen help? I think not.

I agree with Slomo. We have absolutely no need for Sweeney. If we're going to sign or trade for anyone, we need some bullpen help and/or a starter. We don't need any more bats. Not enough spots in the lineup for all our bats as it is. The Rangers need to be thinking pitching, and only pitching.

Bringing up Rodriguez wouldn't be a bad idea. I can't believe Pedro Astacio has lasted this long in the rotation. :-P
