Did anyone actually see his start in person or on TV? I heard he hit 95 on the gun but it decreased. Glad I started him. It was solid but could have been better.

If I can get regular quality starts out of the guy, I'll be happy. But he probably wont be one of my keepers unless he starts pitching lights out again, which I kinda doubt at this moment.

He looked solid, I saw him hit 97 on the FSN gun a couple of times, in the 3rd-5th inning he was living around 93-94, still much better than what he was doing when he had the dead arm and was getting rocked. Check out the thread on his start in the "game commentary" forum, there is lots of info there about his start last night from folks who were watching it

Didn't feel like reading through the 5 page thread Mad posted, so this may have already been mentioned. The few innings I caught of the game he looked really good at times, then at others (when he walked two, loaded the bases, and balked in a run ) he was needless to say a little off. I assume a lot of it was probably (hopefully?) just rust from being off a couple weeks, but his velocity seemed to be fine from what I saw. He was consistently hitting 94-95 in the fourth and fifth (that's when I quit watching) and his breaking ball pitches seemed to be fooling some hitters rather well. Other than the rough patch (in the 4th I believe it was where he loaded the bases) where everything seemed to be low (could have been trying to get a DP ball maybe) his control semmed to be pretty good.
