Tyler Walker isn't a good option for the rest of 2005.
Chances are he will have some rough stretches. The Giants have a lot of guys with good stuff in the minors plus some at times effective big league arms in the bullpen. Walker probably will not enjoy much job security.
But ride the wave while you can.

walker looks solid, im a big giants fan and he looks like a second coming of tim worrell from a couple years ago, except with 5 mph more on his fastball and a nice mean streak. with no one realistic to contend with him for that job its his until he loses it (which he shows no sign of doing) or until the giants trade for someone, which they wont do if walker is effective

I saw his last 2 games and he looks the part--he really does. And the fans seem to love him. We're seeing a Turnbow/Lyon situation here....

This comment is for the Turnbow time fan club...
Walker is better than Turnbow IMO. All the Turbow lovers should grab Walker while they can!
They love ugly a$$ Turnbow but hate on Walker? I don't get it.

I found this today:
May 25 The San Jose Mercury News' Laurence Miedema reports San Francisco Giants P Jeff Fassero will move to the bullpen now that SP Jason Schmidt has returned to the lineup. Fassero will serve as a part-time closer so RP Tyler Walker is not overworked.
