Well mine is the perfect example ... for your sig and av to go together, they should share a common color scheme. Otherwise, it just looks kinda random and out of place.

his sig's have always shared a common color scheme: blond.

Well, they're all pictures I've seen many times already in making sigs and other avatars, so it wasn't as exciting, especially when all you're looking for is the right lighting. :-/
