dammint just as he was showing signs of last years success...

May 25 An MRI on Casey's shoulder revealed a bruised rotator cuff, the Reds' official site reports.
Recommendation: No word yet on how long Casey will be sidelined with the injury. The injury comes at a bad time - Casey was just starting to heat up at the plate.

let's get this over to injuries forum please.

Is it true that this kind of injury can take 4 to 6 weeks?

Thank god...

Like you mentioned....he was just starting to really heat up. 4 doubles and a homer in his last 5 games, raising his average about 40 points...

If a bruised rotator cuff took 4-6 weeks to heal, he would have been put on the dl right after the diagnosis. Since he's not on the DL I would expect him back either this weekend or beginning of next week.
