Just stole his 5th base of the year, he's batting around .340 and has 5 homers/11rbi in 62 ab in the Tampa Bay lineup...anyone got the goods on him?

i was wondering the same thing last week. dont know much about him but hes not a young guy and never put up alot of stats in the bigs. (only around since 98 and has only played a handful of games.)

There seems to be one guy like this every year...a 30 year old Quad-A type who suddenly gets hot and just stays that way for far longer than anything in his career ledger suggests he should.

There's just no explaining this. He's been a .270 type minor leaguer. He's never flashed much power, never stolen many bases.

The easy thing is to simply dismiss this streak as a complete fluke, but I hope he keeps it up for awhile, just because I always root for guys who have labored for a long time in the minors to have that one dream run in the bigs.

That said, I still don't have any plans to pick him up where he's available.
