Maybe it isn't so, but it seems like this year there are a lot more early round disappointments than in the past. While some may be happy with their first round picks of Pujols or Santana, others are banging their head against the wall for grabbing Beltran or Helton. There are also those players, like every year, who seem to be playing way above their head.
So, taking into account a player's history, projections, current level of play, likelihood of improvement/decline, injuries or injury risk, etc - how would you rank the top 3-5 batters, SPs and RPs?
Assume a standard 5x5 mixed league, but you are welcome to make a list for your particular scoring system. (and remember, this is not necessarily who you projected top be the top in the spring nor who may currently be sitting there).

Actually someone like beckett is why I started this thread - I don't think i'd put beckett among the top 5 SPs, but many could rank him that high based on his year so far. But should 7 weeks be that influential in a player's ranking? Does the fact that he was probably projected lower mean anything? What about injury history and future risk? I dont think he's ever reached 200 IP in a season.

Peavy's so good, he gets to make the list

What about Hoffman? He's been lights and and has always been a top RP.
Ryan's has pitched great but has no history of long-term success as a closer. Cordero was also projected rather low on most lists coming into the year. You can still make a case for both though.
Hermanson is a little iffy IMO...has only closed in the past out of necessity and hasn't closed enough this year to rank in my top 5. Not to mention the fact that a couple blown saves and guillen could make yet another switch.
