the fact that they were in the trunk and nobody had seatbelts on is pretty bad. if they were forced into the trunk that is even worse.
but all seriousness aside, didn't you ever want to ride in the trunk when you were a kid? how different is that than riding in an open pick-up bed? i can't count how many times i did that (ride in pick-up).... of course when i was a kid nobody wore seatbelts in the first place.

One hour car ride in Florida? that might get a little bit hot in there. not a good idea.

Kids go in my trunk all the time, most ive had was 3 in the trunk.. even when theres a seat availible in the back seat some go in the trunk... i guess maybe its comftorable... but i also have an SUV.... so theres a bit more room...

A few times weve put my friend in the trunk of a regular car.. was rather funny when we hit the two speed bumps leaving school...
