The Patterson involved may be Coreys brother Eric......interesting...
Bruce Levine says the team involved in this supposed trade, is the Mets, which fits with a New York Post speculation that they’re interested in LaTroy Hawkins. By my estimation that makes the power-hitting left-hander outfielder reportedly heading our way Cliff Floyd. The prospects they’re scouting are, apparently, from Peoria. Hands off Eric Patterson! In fact, hands off LaTroy if all you’re offering is Cliff Floyd, whose second home is the disabled list. We’re not so short of outfielders that we need to sacrifice the pitcher that remains our best reliever plus a whole plentitude of other talent for Cliffy and a Mets reliever.

What player have you been watching? He is a marginal defensive player at best. Did you not see the ball he dropped on Saturday that cost the cubs the game against the White Sox? Why is he always playing so deep if he's such a great defensive center fielder? Obviously, he has trouble going back on balls hit in the gaps. His arm is pretty strong for a guy his size, but he is not very accurate, and I can think of many times that he has thrown to the wrong base or missed a cutoff man. Great speed alone does not a center fielder make. Do yourself a favor.........watch Torii Hunter, Jim Edmonds, Aaron Rowand, or Andruw Jones play center for a few games........it will be a learning experience for you.
In two years you are going to have a lot of trouble removing your foot from your mouth JG. The guy still has yet to reach anywhere near full potential.
Enough with the "P" word. You cubs fans crack me up. Potential is something you talk about when a guy is in single A. This guy has been horrible for the better part of 5 years now. Patterson has great speed, but what does he do with it? He has 4.........count them, 1-2-3-4 stolen bases on the season. This guy is a leadoff man? He has struck out 472 times in 1894 ABs. For those of you who are math challenged, that means 25% of the time the guy does not even put the ball in play. Add in that he has only drawn 97 walks, and you have a guy who is not long for the majors. You are probably the same cubs fan that was talking about all the potential that Kevin Orie had. Or Gary Scott. Is Juan Cruz still the next Pedro? What about He Chop Suey? It's been 7 years since Cy Wood struck 20 guys out in a game.........we have still not seen a 15 win season from the most over hyped pitcher in recent history. Sorry dude.............Patterson stinks.
Ho ho ho hahaha you are going to be looking pretty bad here in a month or so... CPatt isn't conistant yet but will be putting up some pretty nice numbers when he gets fully healthy...hmm that seems to be the theme this year, only if he was healthy

Hahahahaha.
If the Cubs wouldn't take Floyd for Eric Patterson and Hawkins they would truly deserve to blow as much as they do. Hahahahahaaaa.
No way would the Mets offer their best hitter for Give-it-up-Latroy and a prospect that isn't even a top ten in the Cubbies system. They would be better suited to pay Graves 5 mil.

He was 100% healthy as of Monday night. And he hit a home run after the so-called injury. Like many of his fans, his problem is mental health.
