the beat reporter is Bruce Levine, number 1 in the business in the city of Chicago, and I want to emphasize again, the players involved are not yet known these were only the rumored names going around, it could very well be Graves with Dunn if that's the trade seeing as though the Reds have 10 days to trade him or place him on waivers, the Cubs would also be sending a bullpen guy away, but nobody knows the players involved yet

it certainly would fit in with the staffs motif though. just about everyone besides maddux and prior are one pitch away from a complete and utter breakdown at any given moment.
I could see a more likely scenario of Graves and either Griffey/Kearns/Pena for CoPatt. The Reds OF is crowded, and highly doubt they would give up the future of their organization for someone as mediocre as Patterson. Griffey's contract might be too much to add, but I could see one of the others. Graves, although pretty bad, still finds a way to save ballgames...the Cubs would be happy to have that I think.
graves to the cubs would be done so cincy doesn't get stuck paying graves this year. they are a cheap team and could use the cash. i was being sarcastic when i mentioned in different thread that the graves situation could turn into a Larry Rothschild experiemnt, but it looks like it might happen.
preston wilson has no place outside of colorado, please keep him there.
Dubois has got to be leaving Chicago in a trade like this. wellemeyer or weurtz is prolly the bullpen name to go.
Good riddance to patterson, but who is CF then? Hairston? please not wilson.
chacon to cubs makes some sense.
Dunn in the Cubs LF will make me cry tears of joy and makes sense for cincy to undo the glut of OF they have. that was going to happen this year eventually anyways, just a matter of how. Kearns or Pena would be OK by me too.
I don't buy it. I live in Chicago and I havent heard any of these rumors circulating. I checked the ESPN 1000 web site too, for who Bruce Levine works, and nothing. Cubs dont want Graves anyway. They have too many sht relievers, already.
