Marlins manager Jack McKeon indicated today that Guillermo Mota and Todd Jones could split save opportunities after Mota comes off the DL this week.
''One works a couple of days in a row and the next guy can take it,'' McKeon said. ''That way, if one guy goes down, we still have somebody to close.'' McKeon also talked about a committee at the start of the spring, but nothing materialized then. It's probably going to be Mota's job on a nearly full-time basis. However, it's expected that he will be used in a non-save situation once or twice after being activated.

Trans...I'm not so sure. Jones has been absolutely outstanding in the interim, and there are many who believe Mota's best role is in the eighth inning.
It's like Todd Jones pulled Rod Beck aside and asked him for a few pointers...
What happened to Beck? He saved my fantasy team a couple years ago...
Yes, I was, uh... I was thinking about ordering the tape, the videotape... about the college girls and the... the wild... the wildness. They're going wild or something? Somebody told me... about going wild.
