This job may now be a CBC or Heaven forbid, Weather's job. The Reds have been putting him in increasingly more difficult situations in recent games. I thought they were just trying to get his confidence back.

As a Reds fan,... NO!!! This can't be happening. Weathers is a total joke.

I too picked up Wagner in 2 of my 5 leagues today, even though I wasn't 100% sure it was his job. But I was actually more concerned about the guy they brought up from AAA who's been pitching very well this year.

How can an organization cut a 6M+ reliever for zip and then turn the job over to an older MR who is at best mediocre (and I am being kind) and let the young guy continue to be setup. Almost a ssilly a sthe Santana as a lefty specialist nonsense we were hearing from gardenhire a few years ago...can't have Santana start..i need that lefty specialist. Can;t have Wagner close...David Weathers is a stud.

Put a fork in him. They have 10 days to trade him or release him. Why anyone would trade for someone they can sign for the min salary in 10 days is beyond me. It is not like teams will be beating a path to sign Graves in 10 days that they need to give Cincy something in return for him.

Ryan Wagner is the closer in CIN, but i would just stay away from that closer situation altogether

Any of you who know me very well, probably have heard me at some point joke about how TERRIBLE David Weathers is, and how he doesn't even deserve to be in the Majors. I can't believe they gave him the save opportunity. Now, don't get me wrong, I also think it's too early to turn to Wagner, but I mean damn it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that Wagner is a MUCH better option than Weathers. This is ridiculous, I can't believe I'm a fan of this team. When did Dusty Baker take over Reds management?

The ideal thing would have been to wait until Graves had blown more than 2 save opps all year before giving him the hook. And if that happened, then turned to Wagner and hoped he matured very quickly. David Weathers is most definitely not the answer!

And this from the same manager (Miley) that was playing Freel in RF over Kearns/Pena. Now don't get me wrong, Freel is a good player to have on your team for 2b/utility, but to play him over two potential studs like Kearns/Pena is absolutely laughable. Thank God they optioned Jimenez to AAA and gave Freel the full time 2b job to keep him out of RF.

The Reds are truly rivaling the Cubs for the worst managed team in all of baseball.

Good thing the Rangers are awesome....I still have some hope for the next few years.
