I think the point of moving Overbay to the 5 spot (he started the season at 3) was to help get Carlos Lee out of his slump. With Jenking slumping at the same time as Carlos to start the season, opponents were giving Carlos junk because they didn't fear Geoff. Once Overbay was put behind him, Carlos heated up. Now that Carlos is hot (.947 OPS in May after a .647 OPS in April), I would imagine that a switch back to O hitting third may not be too far off. However, with this lineup in place this month, Jenkins has also hit better (.826 OPS in May after a .699 OPS in April), and Lyle has been the virtually the same either way. As such, it may be in the team's best interest to leave the lineup as is.
