The penny pinching Tribune has not gotten a closer in 3 years despite the whole world knowing they needed one. They let Borowski fall into the job 2 years ago... Did nothing when Borowski got hurt early last year and went with Hawkins. Did nothing this year hoping someone would get the job done. They have proven they are not really serious about winning if it means spending big bucks for a closer.
The team is not doing all that well in a division dominated by the Cards. Why would you think they are likely to do anything about the closer situation now except do more of the same musical chairs?
