How Long do I Wait For Paul Konerko?

I understand this guy is a streaky hitter, but this is getting painful. First Basemen as free agents are slim pickins in my league this year so I have been forced to wait it out. How much longer should I go or do I just cut bait right now?

Ask yourself...would you rather have him or would you rather see someone else get his stats? I just claimed him after someone "cut the bait". I am very happy.

I am a very patient owner, so I will hang on to him. He is bound to breakout soon.

Also with the White Sox firing their pitching coach last week, word is that it was Konerko who was the happiest about it, cuz it is the same hitting coach he had at AAA.

Hang onto him but just bench him for now until he starts to break out. Take a look at his career batting, OPS and SLG and how far below every number he is. Unless he is injured, and there is no indication he is, he is sure to have a huge hot streak soon and break out of it. He has hit 25+ homers and 95,99, and 103 RBI the last three seasons. Since there would be no apparent reason for a huge decline at age 27, he should break out and come close to those numbers again.

start him vs. lefties, his average is 340 when he faces a lefty but against righties its near 180. go with him vs lefties until he picks it up vs righties too
