But in all seriousness, when the jays do get there "Extended payroll of being able to buy one serious player for 3 years" they still wont be able to win till 2010, when all the good yankees are gone. and Steinbrenner has no more money. I just dont see the jays having a chance in the near future. They really suprise me how they do well with what looks like a terrible team on paper. Ive heard of Rios and Adams, but they arent really on any huge prospect list. Nothing like Kazmir
Then they have Wells, who i think is a huge bust, and they just have a lot of other random players. Halladay is there franchise, pretty much. My opinion: If they get rid of Hinske, they win the AL East by 20 games. ;-D

Yeah I'm really starting to dislike Hinske. :-t

Exactly though, you had a GREAT prospect in Kazmir, and you traded him away for some hack Victor Zambrano. :-°

Hey Zambrano has been a nice surprise this year. Hes Had 9 QS this year. Most of them being recent. His other starts have been pretty damn good. A lot of em he doesnt go deep into the innings but doesnt give up a lot of ER either. His whip is bad, but his era of 3.80 isnt terrible. He has only allowed more than 3 ER once this season, take that one start vs Washington away and he has a nice ERA of 3.30

Of course hell never amount to what Kazmir will, and thats gotta be one of the dumbest moves ever, but this year at least hes not that terrible.

If we had the money to buy Beltran and Pedro than we would be doing way better than the Mets..

Oh wait, we already are. :-D

Nice to see the Met faithfuls coming out in droves. Toss my name in the Met hat as well. Going to be a fun ride watching our young studs mature (or, kicking, screaming, and converting to alcoholism if they don't, we trade them, and then they do :-o )
