It's a 14 team league and some teams have all closers and some dont have any. It's all messed up....I'm actually just trying to get my ERA and Whip down..

Besides ...

Perlick is last in saves.

so it could cause a little more upheaval if somebody "climbs the ranks", know what I mean? ;-7

When you have that many closers, the closers are more valuable to someone else than you--so trade some for some weaknesses.
I'm back. Sorta.

What are the Reds thinking? Why swallow all that money? They'll trade him, but he's not THAT bad, right?

who wants to trade for a soft tossing closer?

???
:-t

you must not have seen what the braves plus dan kolb equals?

:-[

Kolb isn't a soft tosser, he's one of the hardest throwers in the league. But it's nice to see Wagner get a shot at closing since he was available in the Cafe Challenge }:-)

Umm, wrong.

He throws harder than Graves, but a fastball that tops out at 93, maybe, does not put him in the category of "hardest throwers in the league."

Sorry for the hijack.

Wagner is the real deal. I 've watched him a couple times this yearand I was impressed. I wonder if the same will end up happening in Pit with Gonzo taking over for Mesa.

frickin yahoo... they still think I've got Jim Thome on my DL apparently, since they keep giving me a roster error. Dotel and Benitez are VERY MUCH STILL ON THE DL.... let me at Wags!!!!!

If I lose him to someone else in my league I'm gonna be pissed...

I'm in the process of cutting Bernero for Wagner. He seems like more of a sure thing to get the save opps.

I think it's pretty close. Neither one has a strangle hold on the job. I think the odds are in Wagner's favor but Bernero's been pitching great so I think he will get an opportunity as well.

I would lean on Wagner at this point since he has virtually no competition.
