Guys who have been poor in the 2nd half the last few yrs: Zito, LoDuca.
VMart's numbers dropped off in the 2nd half of last year.
Berkman is obviously a candidate to improve but his career numbers in the second half are worse than 1st, especially in the power department. May has always been his best month.
Of those not mentioned, Lowell typically has horrible second halfs. What that means when he's sucking now, I don't know.
I'd buy Chavez now, if you could. The past few years I've drafted Rolen, and traded for Chavez at the break. It's a good plan. He'll get it going, for sure.
After Pedro's DL stint--one will come in June, maybe--with the warm weather, he should have a good second half.

I'd laugh at you if you offered me that. Its not fair in the least.

Ensberg is far from a waiver wire scrub, If Patterson returns to his form earlier in the year after resting his back, he's going to have a solid year and based on Huff's weak numbers this year I'd be shocked if he had .285 25 85, nevermind being a LOCK for .300 30 100.. I like his splits but they're gonna have to be off the charts to hit those totals. I wouldn't take the deal either but it's not that far fetched I don't think.
He doesn't realy have to end up with 30 Hr's, its how he performs from now till the end of the season that matters. You know that yourself otherwise you wouldn't be trying for him.
He's a far better option than Ensberg, who was on most peoples WW up until last week. Niether he nor Patterson (who is getting dropped all over the place) have any value to a fantasy owner with common sense unless they are a throw-in/add-on in a lager deal. I should know, I own all three players.
It's not impossible he takes the deal, there's no harm in trying I guess. On numbers so far it looks quite good. Lets just hope he/she doesn't use the Cafe
Good luck

actually, he is a WW scrub...they both are
just to clarify, i meant Ensberg and Patterson, not Ensberg and Huff
neither of them really are. both have potential for great years. ensberg hit 300 and had 20 hr and knocked in 60 in 400 AB in 2003.
patterson could be good, but i doubt you'll get much for him in trade. not a whole lot of talk prior to his first few starts, and no hype means little trade value, even if he really does have potential.
