Who's better for this year?
Both are injury risks.
Both hit for great average.
Both usually have sub-100 walks and sub-100 whiffs.
I think Walker's upside is better as he's bombed 45 homers and a ton of RBI over the years.
Sweeney's got a lower roof I think as he's never smacked 30 and doesn't play much in Coors.
Position isn't a concern, as I have Giambi at first and Maggs, Manny, and Giles in my OF.
I'm looking for pure value. Sweeney or Walker?

I like Sweeney

Guess you could say we've always been red white and blue

Sweeney...he has a lot lower injury factor than Larry (DL) Walker.

Walker will always play if at any way possible. The dude takes cotizone shots just to be able to play. The DL factor will not be a huge concern, Walker will miss maybe about 20 games during the season but is a solid player hitting in Coors. He will get you 100-35-100-.333. and some sb's. He is much better than sweeney!
