Jeter, Beltran, K Matsui all out of the game

Derek Jeter hit on the left elbow by a pitch, Carlos Beltran with a right quadricep strain, and Kaz Matsui with a right trapezius (sp?) strain are all out of the Saturday Yankee-Met game with a day to day status.

Sheffield was pulled before the game even started. Some problem with his hand.

beltran has been troubled by his quads for bout 2 weeks. he just told willie to take him out. he may miss a game or two, no dl stint in site really. id say get a reserve of to spot start for u
