Kolb out as closer!

Woah guys, rotoworld says the braves are going closer by commitee. I wouldn't drop anyone for him, instead I would get sosa if anyone. The braves have better reliever and they will all get equal opps, but if I had rincon or shields I would keep them for now. Definatley don't drop vidro or wright.

Rotowire also has a blurb on restima, basically saying the same thing about Bernero, so I wouldn't jump yet.

I have the same question. I have a horrible relief core and would like to rid Kolb of my team, but I don't want to drop him if he's going to get the job back in a little while.

bernero was just picked up in my league, so I picked up Reitsma, dropped Haren. Sosa is available as well, but don't feel I have someone I can drop for another "hopeful closer".

from the link a few posts up:

Cox said he is planning to use matchups to determine who he utilizes in the closer's role. But it's believed that Adam Bernero will receive a majority of those opportunities over the coming days.

Unfortunately they lost today, so that sheds no light on the situation.

The situation is pretty dark right now... I'm hesitating to pick up any ATL relievers.

Guys, its great that the Cafe is bring you this information first, but some of you are dropping the wrong people for this saver grab.

I know the feeling, I was trying to close a deal today and the guy was desperate for a closer when I read about this guy on the wire. I know adding dotel would of brought me tiexeira & Sheets, and I could of just added him to fill the hole. still tempting ;-D

If your desperate for saves, odds are your already carrying Ryan Wagners and other closers in waiting on your roster, drop them. Don't drop value players or trade good depth for a guy that has ALOT to prove to everyone first.

IF you can find a way to add him go for it, I don't think this is a type of player where you HAVE to find a way to add him.
If you found my advice helpful, please help me

I picked up Bernero by dropping J.Julio, its a 14 team league and I was hoping for a Julio trade to make him a full time closer. Im crossing my fingers that Bernero turns out to be successful.

I like the way some people are saying Bernero will be great becasue Mazzone will fix him. Doesn't that work for Kolb, too?
