They had Sosa warming up as soon as Kolb walked the first batter of the inning.
Roger Angell: I was talking with Bob Gibson and I said: 'Are you always this competitive?' He said: 'Oh, I think so. I got a three-year old daughter, and I've played about 500 games of tic-tac-toe with her and she hasn't beat me yet.'

I'm telling you...Furcal's fastball would be unhittable.

Kolb is now an official synonym for bad.

Examples: I sure hope Chipper's injury is not too Kolb, as we need him back asap.

Marcus Giles has been playing Kolb lately.

bad news for his fantasy team. he shoulda benched him. >_<

my inital guess would be that reitsma would close rather than sosa if it came to it, but maybe that's why the braves were so keen to get sosa earlier this year. schuerholtz knows what he's doing.

Yes, I was, uh... I was thinking about ordering the tape, the videotape... about the college girls and the... the wild... the wildness. They're going wild or something? Somebody told me... about going wild.
