i'm about to be in 4th or 5th place when the week ends and id like to know if there would be any changes id need to make to get into first.

I give the team a 6. Your offense is really weak, Schilling and Mulder on the same staff is a deadly combination though.

I would have to disagree unless it was 8 team league...which it isn't. Thome is slumping in his standards right now. Boone is top 5 2B, Blalock is a hitting machine, Giles is 2-3rd round material that hasn't produced yet, Chipper is good OF, and we all know what Vernon Wells has been doing the last 2 months...If i were you I would see if i can improve my SS or a more consistent bat for Util..See if melvin mora is still available, I think he is a better option than hernendez.

Your offense is alittle lacking; especially the OF. Wells is a bad man, but other than that your OF is soft and subtle. It wouldnt kill you to look around for some less established members and look at then on a 7 day cycle. It's memorial day so your 30% done so it's a good time to look and find. Just do it soon. 7 of 10

ok thanks for the input, since then ive added: ryan klesko,cc sabathia,franklin german, melvin mora and byung hung kim but lost: chipper jones,brandon lyon, trevor hoffman and edgardo alfonso.

I'd give you a 7. You have lights out pitching but fairly weak batting. I'd try to maybe trade one of you pitchers for a better hitter. If you don't your team will still be okay.

Six here, too. Your pitching is plain deadly, with the combo of Schilling/Mulder and Smoltz closing. The offense definitely needs some work, though. Try to cash in on some hot starts and maybe get some underachievers (Maggs, Green, Chavez, etc.) out of Blalock, Wells, and Benito. Don't get me wrong, they're really good, but I doubt any of the three will keep up their current torrid pace.

See what sort of hitting you can get out of Nomo right now. He can K, but his ERA and WHIP numbers are over his head in my opinion.

Also, ride Padilla until around a month or two before the season ends. See how many innings he's pitched. If it's as much as last year, deal the man.

You really need to get a better SS than the strike out king Jose Hernandez... hes not at all helpfull to your team
