Yeah probably, but seeing he doesn't understand a walk gets you to first base easier than swinging over your head, that eliminates hiim as a good leadoff hitter also, and there isn't really another place for him to go in that lineup. Of course seeing thats what Dusty preaches about walks (they're no good he thinks), you can only half blame Corey.
I think ideally he hits 2nd, in front of D Lee with the provision he signs a contract to not swing at anything that isn't a grooved fastball. Batting in front of Lee would get him some better pitches, provided he can lay off the junk.
Of course, that leaves the question of who leads off, as Hairston really doesn't seem to be the answer yet. Just another reason to stay away from all things Cub.
