In 48 ABs this year he has 3 singles, 6 doubles, and 6 HRs for a 313 BA and a 1.165 OPS. Now obviously, this is a small sample size, and I'm sure this subject has been touched on elsewhere, but if this guy gets a full time gig, I think he projects as a 40 HR hitter. I mean he's 23 and he's hitting in the Great American Ballpark. Is this a situation where we're going to have to wait for an injury or a trade, or might he find a way onto the lineup sheet anyway when he comes off the DL? I'm stashing him in a couple of leagues because I don't think he belongs in free agency, too much potential to blow up.

I won't dispute 40 HRs, but there will be a .250ish BA to go along with that.

His DL stint was retroactive to May 3rd, so that would make him eligible to come off the DL tomorrow.
Don't count on it though. Check out this article on the Reds website:

For the record, in a full year with a full time gig this guy is definitely 40 HR material.

I read somewhere that he's coming off the DL Friday. As for the starting lineup... Who knows?

But I agree... He's definitely worth stashing if you've got a spot.
