I appreciate the fact that you went through the trouble to create a helpful tutorial... I downloaded the gimp and was trying to use it last night. I was attempting to lasso something and the mouse just plain stopped working... It was so weird. I tried CTRL+ALT+DEL and exiting the program... but it all failed... I able to shut it down by just using the keyboard... now, when I turned on my computer this morning I was unable to use the mouse and I don't know what to do... right now I'm using a laptop, which is a pain in the ass in my opinion.

My mouse is a wireless, eletronic laser and it's not the batteries, I checked ;-)

. Anyone know how to fix this problem?

? exactly what do i download for the gimp? Theres a bunch of stuff but all i need is something to make some nice sigs. can smoone help me?

This is flat out amazing...and the GIMP is FREE! Thank you for making this info available to everyone acsguitar! I'm going to go play with this GIMP and come up with something soon, amazing...thanks again!

very good thread. esp the links with the logos and great pics. my suggestion would be...LIMEWIRE. download photoshop for free. its pretty great, and probably a lot more powerful/stable than gimp.

Well photo shop is huge and very powerful but the Gimp is pretty sweet as well and you can find a patch that lets it use photoshop extensions. SO being that its free and open source and will download in 1/100000th of the time that limewire photoshop will i'd use the gimp.

You need the GTK Runtime Environment and the Gimp Downloader..You can find it on their website although it can be a journey.

Well, first of all the site isn't trying to promote illegal activity. Also, your way isn't the best way to go about it... You should download the trial of Photoshop from the Adobe web site and then activate by downloading from an illegal source a key generator... ;-D
