R. Hernandez (SD catcher)

Is there any pattern to when this guy sits? Is he on the bench specifically for one pitcher?

J.Kendall is on the wire in one of my leagues and I want to grab him because I have an open spot. While I would never start him over Hernandez, it would be nice to know when I could use him.

Not sure, but I haven't noticed a pattern other then ever day game after a night game like most catchers.

He's been a very nice surprise and is creeping up towards the top 5 catchers lately and actually could probably be right in there with his recent 1 RBI a game streak.

I don't think this is so true. I have him and I find that he plays a lot of day games after night games.

I shouldn't of said every, I meant the usual occasional day off and it's usually the day game bit.

Hernandez is one of the more durable catchers in the game as far as being able to play weeks at a time. Games he sit are practically random and are far inbetween; so far inbetween that Bochy has been using Ojeda, the backup catcher, as a left-fielder so he can get some playing time.
