anyone have a handle on this guy? Threw good his first time out and has started a lot in the past couple of years. Just wondering if he has any value at all. NL only league.

He is a two start pitcher this week, and could be a good source of K's ....

I almost picked him up for this week in my NL only, but in the end I went with Stauffer.

In 2003, he opened his ML career with a string of quality starts but then faded a bit. I'm hoping to catch a good string again this year. I started him this week since he gets 2 starts and 1 is against the Brewers. Gotta gamble every now and again. But he's not that good. Just hope for a good streak then maybe trade him if you can.

Vargas is basically a one-trick pony. One good pitch and that's it. He'll have an occasional sharp effort, but he should not be rostered in any league.
