Steve Finley....is he finished...

He is off to a very slow start & is now hampered by a groin injury.

Is he worth much in fantasyland anymore, what kind of #'s should we expect by season end from him.

I was hoping for much better things from him in LAA line up, but am very dissappointed with him so far. How bad is this groin injury too?

I don't think it's fair to expect him to reproduce last season's numbers. However, if the injury isn't too big of a deal I'd expect him to produce- he's an old pro who knows how to get the job done, and should be much less prone to slumps and letdown seasons.

Unfortunately I haven't heard much about the injury, so who knows...

Finley is a notoriously slow starter, so I expect his BA to rise and figure he's likely to once again be in the .270 neighborhood with plenty of pop. But the groin injury could limit his SB's, and he was off to a good start in this category. Thought he might go 30/15 HR/SB, but might have to lower expectations on the latter.

He's always been a slow starter. Leave him on the bench until he hopefully heats up. The other problem is that he switched leagues, and doesn't know the pitchers very well. When he figures them out it'll be clobberin time.

I hope so, I need his HRs...at least 20 from him.

He is out of the line up again tonight. :-t
