I've picked him up off the waiver wire in my league. Is he worth grabbing if I have Brian Roberts as my 2B?

Unless you're in a 5-team or less league, he will have value.

Have you guy's ever picked up someone of his talent just to later use as trade bait or for his added trade value?

All the time. If i see someone who i think will have value to someone else at some point, i would certainly pick them up and hold on for a while.

All the time. Vidro is an FA in our league too. I'm thinking about getting him and I already have Loretta and Utley. If I didnt already have half my team injured and I could afford to do it of course.

Yes...as long as I have roster room to spare. I usually end up trading the player I had to begin with and plugging the guy I picked up into my lineup.

me too, especially if I want to turn around fast. For example, I grabbed Vazquez off the WW recently (not sure why he was there), but I'm going to have a hard time moving him if people know he was just on the WW. If I can afford it, I'd rather move one of my current starters and keep the guy I grabbed, just cause it'll be easier and the perceived value is higher.

I'd take Vidro over Utley
Go Braves!

I'd pick up Vidro and start shopping Roberts to see how much you could get for him. In some leagues he goes for 2nd round talent which I think is a worthwhile trade considering the HR's could stop any day.
