Beltran stole 27 bags after the break last year. All it would take is the green light at some point in the season, and he would be back in everyone's good favor.
That having been said, I don't know why any manager wouldn't let Beltran run. His caught-stealing rate is miniscule. Even the friggin' A's could send him and not worry about him costing them ABs.
Call me nuts, but I say Beltran for the rest of the year out. When a relatively consistent guy is below his projections, that means you get more of the good stuff and less of the bad the rest of the way out.
