If you're leading or near the top of the standings in steals already, the I would trade him for an Edmonds/Delgado/Hideki Matsui + another player.

Wow...1.5 months where the man does not steal a few bases and people want to exile him to Siberia and compare him to Brian Giles? Really this is even more irrational than usual for this place. Beltran was streaky last season too. Man's numbers are OK save for the SBs. So he may not end up being a round 1 caliber player and may fall to round 3 caliber with 15-20 SBs. Vladdy is putting up similar numbers with 4 or 5 Sbs. So what? You want to trade them for Edmonds+...come on?
