Now that I have your attention:

Playing against a guy this week who keeps picking up at least 2 spot starters every day. It makes for an interesting week.

League we are in allows unlimited pickups.

Already picked up Fossum who faces the Indians at home.

Here are my Choices

Foppert (SF) at Coors (been pictching pretty good lately) But its still at Coors

Joaquin Benoit (TEX) (at home against Baltimore) 23.2 IP and 24 ks 1.01 WHIP 4.5 ERA Texas has won 7 in a row to boot

Ryan Franklin (SEA) (at home against Twins) 56.1 IP and 23 ks Twins are starting to swing hot bats of late

Garrett Stephenson (STL) (away at Pittsburgh) 55.1 IP and 30 ks hasn't been pitching that great of late.

The pitchers above that don't pick I will probably pick up just so he can't use them. All is fair in love and war right? Takes 3 days for a player to clear waivers, so he won't be able to pitch any of them.

;-D

I picked up John Thompson for Spot start on Saturday.

Have to ride the Rangers while they are hot.

Benoit should help me in ks too.

I would resort to a little 'roster churning' as well. i don't like H2H leagues at all. The ones with your rules are even worse. It comes down to tactics, and you use whatever is beneficial to your team if you want to win.

A perfectly legit strategy to counter-act people dominating cat's based on sheer numbers.

changing roster daily.

lot of leagues limit the number of times you can due such things, not this league I am in.

I plan to stay in the top 2 for the rest of the season, so I will try whatever to keep up with them. I am winning 9 to 5 now against this guy as of now and it could easily go to 11 and 3 when all is said and done.

I'm not sure actually.

What I meant was 'waiver wire churning'. Picking up and waiving any player your opponent may be interested in grabbing off the wire to use against you.

Many others have complained about owners abusing the no-inning limit in H2H leagues. While there is no rule against what the inning limit abusers are doing, there generally is a rule against waiver wire churning.

...but if you honestly thought you wanted those 40 SP's for a split second and then changed your mind, it is legal.
