I just picked him up yesterday. Hopefully he has one more week in him before he slows down. I just have to figure out who to sit next week.

From the other thread: I FEEL LIKE I'VE BEEN SHOT!!
Had the chance to get him, thought about it, looked it over, didn't do it. It hurts b/c I've been trying to land 1 more HR hitter for awhile now, and I could've had one for next to nothing, at least for the short term.

Tino has given a lot of credit to Donny Baseball for his resurgence.

He should also be thanking Jason Steroid!
If Giambi could hit a ball sans the juice, Tino would have never gotten that chance.
Way to take the ball and run, Tino

Actually, I think he got replaced by Nick Johnson. That was after hitting 34 jacks with 113 RBI's in 2001. Funny, I don't think Nick put up better numbers than that in '02!
But I would agree that he might be playing like he's got a chip on his shoulder. That's also why I like Mike Cameron this year (shameless plug). With all the Beltran at CF BS, along with Victor Diaz playing well as his fill-in, I think this guy is going to continue to kill the ball all season.

I predicted good year from Tino to all my friends. Finally I look smart for a change. I was at a spring training game in Tampa against the pirates and the crowd at legends field gave Tino a huge ovation when he was introduced. Tino is one of those guys that the yanks fan love I think.

I know that's what
I'm thinking
I'm cheering for Cameron as well... he and Giles are two anxious owner drops/WW pickups carrying my outfield now
