Who should I use my #1 waiver priority on?????

Postby The Cow » Sat May 14, 2005 12:33 pm

I figure nobody worthy of the #1 will be cut. So I turn to the minors. I could use some pitching and maybe 3B. Primarily SP though. But I would use it on any player at any position, I just want to add another piece. So does anybody have a short list of players??? Last year I think the consensus #1 was B.J. Upton. This year is it Felix Hernandez of Seattle? Any help is appreciated.

I guess it depends on what type of league you're in...if its a keeper
league, I would wait until Felix gets the call. If its a regular redraft league, I would still wait for Felix, but don't be afraid to use your #1
for somebody that gets dropped... So far this year I have been able
to make 3 real nice pick-ups Street for most of my keeper leagues,
Vaz in a re-draft, and just used my #1 on Rollins in another of my keeper leagues

For this league I really doubt a quality player will be cut. At least not one worth losing a shot at the #1 player coming up. So you think Felix, thanks for the reply.

Not in any particular order, but I would day hold out for:
Felix Hernandez
Matt Cain
Zach Duke
Andy Marte
Delmon Young

Zach Duke is a great pitching prospect for the Pirates. And the only one that has a chance of being on a level of a Prior is Hernandez. And even then I doubt it. The Mark Priors of the world do not come along every several years. Even if he is an injury risk.
