Yahoo: Uneven Trade!?

Today I attempted to propose several trades in my free yahoo public leagues, but Yahoo wouldn't let any of them go through. Instead, I'm getting a message that says "uneven trade." I've never seen this before. Did yahoo implement some new policy regarding what trades you are allowed to propose?

hmmm, didnt happen with my league. Just offered Pujols for N Logan and it was proposed like normal

That happened to me when I had a 5 for 5 trade. I was trying to make a stupid trade offer to piss my buddy off.

The uneven trade comes from having too many players on a team, not from their value. It can be a common error when you are trying to trade guys in the DL spot.

That makes sense, but I can see how it could be a problem.

Say I want to accept an uneven trade, and I'm willing to drop someone if it goes through. I don't want to drop that spot if it doesn't. It should be like waivers where you can specify a guy to drop, and if it doesn't clear, then you still keep the guy.

Maybe its the other team that has to make the extra space on their team. If he doesn't do it, the trade will not go through and there is nothing you can do about it.

Usually that's exactly how it works. It you propose an uneven trade it'll prompt you to pick a guy to drop if the trade is accepted. Or it'll prompt the other guy if he accepts.

The only time it gets wiggy (that's right: wiggy) is if you've got a guy on the DL involved. Especially if he's not on the DL in real life anymore.
