The News
Second baseman and leadoff hitter Jerry Hairston, Jr. broke a bone in his right foot on Tuesday night and will miss four-to-eight weeks, the Baltimore Sun reported. Hairston turned his ankle in the second inning. "I could feel it pop, and I knew it wasn't good," Hairston said. X-rays after the game revealed a broken fifth metacarpal bone. Hairston leads the American League with 14 stolen bases. The Sun believes that Baltimore will promote Brian Roberts from Triple-A to take Hairston's place.
Our View
Fantasy owners looking to replace Hairston should grab Roberts. Brian made a move to shortstop this season, but second base is his more natural position. Roberts has hit only .253 and .227 in his two stints with the big club, but he's having a very productive season in Triple-A, hitting .315 with 36 runs and 19 steals. Melvin Mora is also available to play second, but we believe that Roberts will get the chance to hold down the job.
Anyword as to when Yahoo will activate Roberts?

Man....who knows.....Yahoo is notoriously slow in activating new players...but I agree, Roberts is worth watching.
