I think that Hafner getting back to back lefty days off may also be the Indians giving Ryan Ludwick more of a chance to show that he can hit lefties before Jody Gerut comes back. Cleveland is going to have to send someone down to AAA when Gerut is called back up, and they could just be giving the potential send down candidates some more ABs to prove themselves. Sitting Hafner against more lefties would be a good time to do that.

Why are they so high on Gerut when he was playing so poorly last year that they sent him to Buffalo? He always struck me as one of those players that is just average at everything, standing out at nothing.
