it was absolutely retarded
5 team AL only league with 4 of my buddies
EVERYTHING was getting vetoed
examples
buerle for k-rod
santana for vladi
santana for icchiro
texiera and coskie for santana
foulke for pavano
vladi and radke for santana and miller
vladi for halladay and harden
whether or not those were "fair" trades..theyre definitely not vetoable
its a 5 team only league...meaning...only 2 votes were required to veto a trade...and 90% of the time....one of the parties involved would veto out of fear, someone not involved would veto because one team was getting too strong, and even worse...recently...one person has openly and admittingly been vetoing trades out of spite..because one of his trades got vetoed
i couldnt take it anymore...i waived all of my players.......but then my friend..the commish....put allof my players back on my team and sai he would process my last trade that got vetoed...i was to get santana and miller for vladi and radke....i agreed.......he then told me that a trade that got vetoed before....[i was to get halladay and harden for vladi] ...by HIM..because "the other team would have gotten too strong"......we then argued...
i thought it was asteal for me....he thought it was a steal for the other guy.....i said...this is what trades are supposed to be like...both parties win-win.....he then said.."nah..its not fair....itll make everything too un balanced...i want this league to be as competitive as possible"....
i told him hes being retarded.....and i tried to waive my players again...only to find out that he "locked" my roster.....
so..i benched everyone....closed my yahoo account [seems rash...but yahoo sports was the only thing goin on with it]...and now..i never have to look at that useless pool ever again
holy crap...worst pool ever

5 teams is way too small for a league with league veto

You could have stopped after the word "league".

I thought about that, but the player pool would be similar to a 10 team mixed, which goes on all the time. Probably wouldn't be too bad but there would be more punting than the average league probably.

Personally, I don't think it has much to do with the player pool.
Five people just doesn't make for an interesting and competitive league, at all.

I agree. Too small a league. GO play MLB.com basic fantasy where everybody can own anybody.

I wouldnt necessarily waste my time with a 5 team league for reasons sort of like that. I wouldnt want to take any part in that either if I was in your shoes.
Screw the Peavy and Burnett Watches, I'm probably one of the laziest people in the world

i hate leagues where people veto when there's no collusion, so i have sympathy for you believe me, but regardless of how retarded your friends were acting, i think it's pretty immature to drop all your players and purposely try to ruin a league. if you're going to quit, you should just stop checking up on your team and let the retards retard it out.
just my 2 cents.
