id say pujols has the best shot at it followed but mcab adn helton.
my long shot dark horse would be brady clark. but the chances are very very slim he will hit above .310 probably. if he cant his road average up he'll be up there though. imo
You almost know its going to be Pujols or Helton, its basically a race between those two. Barmes shouldnt even be considered. I hate it when people take how well a player is doing the first month and they say thats how he is going to perform for rest the of the year(with the exception of Brian Roberts ...ok maybe im being a hypocrite)
Screw the Peavy and Burnett Watches, I'm probably one of the laziest people in the world
At least Barmes has Coors behind him and a hot start to boot. I wouldn't say he's gonna win a Batting Title, but I don't think it's wrong for someone to suggest him.
I would bet on Abreu or Helton for the batting title this year. Abreu seems to have gotten better, despite being great anyways, over the past two seasons. I wouldn't be shocked if his numbers this year are even better than last years. Too bad I doubted him enough pre-season not to grab him
I see no problem in putting Barmes in the top five, it's just an opinion, but to put him as your #1 most likely? I don't see how a person can justify putting and unproven player ahead of Helton or Pujols.

Abreu only put up batting title level average in his second full season, 6 years ago. Anything in particular that makes you think he will do it again?

Just his motivation level. Apparently, he never worked out much or put much work towards improving his game prior to last season. Then, all of a sudden, he got into working out. This off-season, he worked out even harder, based on the solid results he got. He set some lofty goals for this season, and I ain't doubting him.
Perhaps the batting title is a little above his level, considering he does K a bunch, but I didn't want to sound like a broken tape recorder by suggesting the obvious Helton and Pujols ones. I figured I'd just replace Pujols with Abreu, although Pujols is more likely., Get it
