The offense hasn't been struggling mightily, especially with the injuries. They are fourth in runs produced, that I know. I don't know the team OPS off the top of my head though.
I would actually be happy to see Baez gone. It doesn't have anything to do with him really, it just makes more room for one of my fav RP prospects in Orvella.
Huff to me actually needs to be traded, IMO he has almost given up and is just going through the motions now. I'd trade him for a nice prospect or two (1B, 3B, P). But I wouldn't trade him for Dubois at all, we already have one of those in Gomes (who I think is better).
Also it is really annoying to hear every trade offer by the media as saying the Rays will ask for a lot. Somehow the Mets make a bad trade and now we all of a sudden ask to much for marginal talent? I guess that Cruz Jr. / Fossum deal was also to much talent in return or maybe the Sosa / Green trade.

Makes me mad I traded Huff for Chavez earlier in the year...
I drafted them both... now that's a hard-knock life.
As a Cubs fan, I'm going to formally offer this deal...
Baez
Huff
Pinella
Zim
for
Dubois
Mitre
Baker
Rothchild
We'll even pick up Dusty's salary for the next two years. And we'll just reel Steve Stone back to handle both color-man and pitching coach duties. Oh yeah, we'll throw in Len Kasper and Bob Brenley, too. They're all yours.
drools.....man would i love to see huff get out of tampa. ive had him 3 straight years in fantasy, and i love the guy(minus his slow starts) but hot damn would i like to see him in a lineup that offers some protection
and for baez a trade to the cubs not the rangers will be good... he will most likley become their closer (or will he?) where as in texas he has no chance of being a closer.. as a baez owner i hope 2 c him closing for the cubs
Oh man would my fantasy team love this deal...If the Cubs got both Huff and Mesa that would mean Huff is out of TB and Gonzo is left the closer at Pittsburg!!!!! Now all I need is Graves to get sent somewhere so Wagner can have that job....A KID CAN DREAM CAN'T HE?????
Thanks chipper!!!!
There is such a thing called clutch and David Ortiz is the modern day definition of it

I'm not too keen on trading Huffy because he's just such a good hitter, but I'd love dealing Baez. Angel Guzman would certainly do the trick. I love Felix Pie's potential, but we have an outfield logjam already. The Cubbies have a few more intriguing pitching prospects, too, like Billy Petrick.
