Dialup who uses it still?

I work for a company that has tons and tons of money huge company.

Yet people still call in for help with their Company Dialup connection!

Its so annoying...Troubleshooting a dialup connection is freakin retarded.

Then once you get them on the Dialup connection they are like this is really slow....

Really?? Dialup slow? No way!

Ahhh the joys of computer helpdesk.

I finally switched this week to high speed. I was too far to recieve it from SBC, and i was stealing my cable so I couldnt get Road Runner. My cable got cut so now I go legit.

I made the switch last summer, and I think I would rather have no internet at all than go back to dial up.

I finally switched this week to high speed. I was too far to recieve it from SBC, and i was stealing my cable so I couldnt get Road Runner. My cable got cut so now I go legit.

I am still upset because I had a cable modem and just hooked it up and got free internet. When I got my new computer, I tried it there as well and it didn't work so I called to finally activate it. The girl said to just unplug it to reset it and it would work. I could have still been getting free cable internet if I just unplugged it.

I also just started working for a cable company. They offer free digital platinum with free internet for all employees. Unfortunately, they don't service my town.

There's cable here. There are 2 companies that service this area and unfortunately, I don't work for the 1 that handles my town.

I wish my wife would so I could cancel the cable modem at home. I never use the damn thing because i am online all day at work.
