I'll be a lot happier if I get Giles and Klesko, as my team could look like this on saturday if they are successful claims:
C Toby Hall
1B Ryan Klesko
2B Edgardo Alfonzo / Jeff Kent
3B Corey Koskie / Sean Burroughs
SS Orlando Cabrera / Jose Valentin
OF Ichiro Suzuki
OF Matt Lawton
OF Brian Giles
OF Preston Wilson
OF Jermaine Dye (DL)
I think I will keep Lawton until Dye comes back, as he is pretty much on fire so far. I probably will miss either Klesko or Giles, but oh well, I think my team will be improved with Oswalt.
Great move picking up Giles, and good going with the trade, too. Great outfield, especially if Dye returns at full strength.
Higginson for Lawton basically seems like a wassh - more a matter of taste (or your hunch) than anything else. I'd probably stick with Lawton for the moment and see what happens over the next week or two. By the way, I've heard a very vague rumor that Higginson might be headed to seattle in a trade. At the moment, I don't believe this at all, but it's worth keeping an eye on.
Suzuki was 2-4 with a steal today, and that is more important to me than homers so i guess I am happy with the trade now. The two steals today will give me about a 4 point rise in the standings, whereas I am in front with homers. Cabrera hasn't been good yet, but Valentin has two homers in two days I think, so I'm liking that, I guess because it's against Baltimore.
