izzy worth picking up now?

i just read on espn.com that larussa expects isringhausen back in early june. what is his value? will he be able to pitch back to back nights? i am thinking about dropping looper for izzy but havent really followed the situation. thanks for any input.

They're really pushing to get him back as quick as possible, due to the bullpen's lack of ability. I doubt he pitches back to back games for awhile. He could still get 25 saves when all is said and done, though. That's not too bad. Provided he does come back in early June and stays healthy the rest of the way out. I've had him stashed away on my DL since the day of the draft in one of my leagues.

LaRussa and Duncan were quoted as saying that the only way Izzy pitches back to back games is if it's game 6 and 7 of the World Series. I would take that to mean don't expect him to at all this year.

yeah, well la russa sure used pujols plenty when he COULDN'T EVEN THROW UNDERHANDED!!!!

i'd say tony bends over for his ego and the W's. izzy migh pitch more if needed.
