A new Fantasy Simulator about to go public

Postby Guest » Sun Jan 12, 2003 2:21 am

I would like to just let those of you out there who have an interest in Fantasy Baseball know that soon there soon will be a new Simulator on the market called Nostalgia Baseball. Developed by two professors at Simpson College in Redding CA, this simulation has been in Beta testing for the last several years and is finally nearing completion and public display.
What is Nostalgia Baseball? It is an exciting simulator that allows you to join a league and compete against other real live owners in your league. You draft players from different eras (Ever wanted to see Bonds versus Cy Young?), manage payroll and contracts, while also having the ability to make trades and fashioning your roster as you see fit. If most fantasy simulators leave you wishing you had more control and more fulfilling competitve play, this honestly is the simulator for you.
What does it cost to see what this simulator is all about? Nothing. Just email Craig Slane (the co-creator) at mailto:nostalgiabaseball@charter.net and you will be given instructions on how to download and test the simulator for free.
In closing, if you want a comparison I would say that the closest thing to this is Diamond Minds Baseball. Not the same by any means, but simply close to it or surpassing it in quality.
I have been in the Beta League for 2 and a half years now and have loved every moment of it. With the second and final Beta League opening you have honestly nothing to lose if you simply want to check it out, and everything to gain if you like it and join the new league. Thanks for your time.
